General information about the journal

Academic journal Vestnik of Saint Petersburg University. Management (hereinafter — the Journal) was founded in 2002. Founder and publisher: Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Saint-Petersburg State University”.

The journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor). Registration certificate: PI № FS77-36047 of April 22, 2009.

The journal is included into “The list of leading peer-reviewed academic journals and publications in which the fundamental dissertations scientific results for academic degrees of doctor and candidate of sciences should be published” in the economic and management disciplines. The publication is included into the system of Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) (see. eLIBRARY.ru), in the RSCI on Web of Science platform (see. http://wokinfo.com/products_tools/multidisciplinary/rsci/), VINITI Abstract Journal and Database. Information about the journal published annually in international reference system for periodicals and serials of Ulrich's Periodicals Directory.

Publication frequency — four issues per year. International Standard Edition Number — ISSN 1605-7953.

Journal articles are published both in English and Russian. Since 2016, each article is assigned a digital identifier DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

Editorial policy is developed and carried out in collaboration between the journal Editorial Office and the Editorial Board and the Publishing House of Saint Petersburg State University. The editorial policy is based on the requirements imposed by Russian law to the media, copyright and related rights, as well as the ethical principles that are supported by the publishers of academic periodicals community (of the journal publishing ethics, see: http://www.vestnikmanagement.spbu.ru/about/got5yjht/).

The goals and objectives

The journal is considered as a edition for the broad academic and educational audience of readers and authors representing the global scientific community. Priority is given to the best article containing a pronounced element of the new knowledge.

The purpose of the Journal is to create and promote an effective and competitive platform for the formation and dissemination of new knowledge in the area of management as a science, as well as in the development and maintenance of a high level of research and publications on management in Russia.

The Journal publishes original academic articles on up-do-date problems of the management theory and modern practice, the results of empirical studies, fundamental reviews of the formation and development of modern concepts of management and business cases are written primarily based on primary field research (field research case).

The journal editorial policy priorities

to increase of scientific and theoretical knowledge in the area of management as a science;
to disseminate of up-do-date scientific thought achievements in the field of management; acquaint readers with the global experience of implementing scientific development in management;
to draw attention to the most relevant and promising areas of scientific research in management;
to publish the theoretical and educational research in the area of management aimed to intensify scientific collaboration, cooperation and exchange of views within the academic community, as well as among professional researchers and a wide range of readers;
to develop the professional relations and scientific cooperation between researchers and research groups in Russia and abroad;
to promote the professionalization of education and scientific research in the field of management in Russian universities and business schools.

The manuscripts on interdisciplinary research, in which the management plays a determinative role are submitted as well. The comparative studies showing the unique local forms of management, institutions and motivations are welcomed. The journal is addressed to academics, researchers, managers, consultants who are interested in the latest results of theoretical and practical research in the field of management, as well as faculty, undergraduate and graduate students as published materials allow for the teaching management at the advanced level of world achievements.

Peer-review and edit / Publishing terms

The relationship of all parties (authors, reviewers, editors) are based on the observance of Publication Ethics (see. http://www.vestnikmanagement.spbu.ru/about/got5yjht/). Manuscripts submitted to the Editorial Office are registered and subject to their compliance with the journal thematic and requirements to the design and completeness are included in the editorial cycle. Manuscripts, relevant formal requirements, sufficient for registration, but clearly does not meet the key criteria applicable to scientific publications, can be sent back for revision or rejected directly by the Editorial Office.

One of the basic elements of the journal's policy — a thorough peer-review of the published materials.

Registered and meet the key criteria papers are checked for borrowings in the Blackboard (https://bb.spbu.ru/) using Safe-Assign program, and the procedure of double-blind peer-review. Reviewing manuscripts is carried out in accordance with the established peer review procedure of (see http://www.vestnikmanagement.spbu.ru/for_authors/gfba1tjr/). The reviewers are the leading Russian and foreign experts on the article thematic. Peer-review in the Journal is free.

The decision on the publication of the article, the need for its revision or its rejection may be accept based on the review. As a result of reviewing the Editorial Board selects materials for publication in the next issue. In general, the decision-making process usually takes two to three months.

In case of rejection at any stage a summary of the arguments for refusal in the publication sends to the author. The Editorial Office does not enter into discussion with the authors of rejected materials.

Editing of manuscripts accepted for publication shall be in accordance with the requirements for the publication of academic literature. All published materials are made in accordance with international standards and provided with abstracts, keywords and references. All articles published in Russian are provided with information in English (title, author information, the extended abstract, keywords, references).

Publisher may, in agreement with the author to make the reduction and edits the manuscript. Publications in the Journal are free. Royalties are not paid. Reproduction, publication or distribution of the published and / or posted on the official website of the Journal materials without the prior written consent of the publisher is prohibited.

Journal Availability

The Journal Vestnik of Saint Petersburg University. Management is distributed in Russia and foreign countries. Publishing House carries out the open access policy. All material published in the Journal are available on the platforms of scientific information resources elibrary.ru, CyberLeninka, EBSCO, EastView. In open access on the Journal's website: table of contents, abstracts, keywords, information about authors of publications in two languages (Russian and English), as well as PDF files of the papers. The Journal is distributed to major public libraries and leading universities of Russia.
